Dan brings deep startup experience, with hands-on expertise in launching operations and building organizations. He is an alumnus of Oscar Health and several other technology-based startups.
Dr. Vanessa Brodie - Secretary & Founding Board Member
Dr. Vanessa Brodie, PsyD leads and oversees all matters relating to mental health and is acting Secretary. She holds degrees from UVM and Pace University.
Dr. Demi Ajayi - Head of Science & Founding Board Member
Dr. Ajayi oversees all areas that intersect with science-based or science-driven initiatives. She holds degrees from Harvard and Columbia and has worked at NASA, Boeing, and IBM.
Alan Federman, CPA - Treasurer & Founding Board Member
Alan brings many years of hands-on finance experience. He oversees all finance-related courses and activities and is acting Treasurer. He is an alumnus of Patreon, ClassPass and several other New York and San Francisco based technology start-ups.
Remore Williams - Founding Teaching Expert
Remore Williams is a general education teacher, responsible for implementing curriculum, analyzing students’ data, developing strategy groups, and collaborating with learning specialists to meet students’ learning objectives. Remore has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Long Island University, and also has his Master of Arts Degree in English from Central Connecticut State University.
Tim Curtis - Founding Teaching Expert
Timothy Curtis has been an educator for over 35 years. A former Teacher of the Year and Trinity College Person of the Year, Curtis now teaches at Gateway Community College in New Haven, Connecticut.
Donna Hamzy Carroccia - Founding Community Engagement Expert
Donna brings many years of advocacy and community engagement experience. She consults on policy development and strategy and liaises with community stakeholders.
Dr. Kelly Coulehan – Founding Learning Strategies Expert
Dr. Coulehan is a neuropsychologist responsible for overseeing learning strategy development across project initiatives. She holds degrees from the University of Rochester, American University, and Fordham University.
Christopher Gilson – Founding Media Expert
Christopher graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BA in English and a certification from the Yale Writer’s Conference. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, Accidentally Wes Anderson, Paste Magazine, Pancakes & Whiskey, has assisted in reading manuscripts before publication for published works, and currently works in Communications producing videos, a podcast, and a quarterly magazine.
