Reactivating Water Services for Young Utah Couple Experiencing Financial Hardship

Running water is a basic need for most individuals living in the U.S., and is considered a basic human right by the United Nations. The World Health Organization affirms that all individuals have the right to safe, affordable, and accessible water in their homes.

A young married couple in Utah recently experienced financial hardship, causing their utilities, primarily their water, to be shut off. Though this couple often relies on their religious faith to overcome misfortune, they were able to put their faith in others when they found themselves in need.

"Due to the circumstances that I am in, I know this trial my husband and I are in will pass," she stated. "Luckily, there’s more good people in this world than bad."

Thankfully, they were able to be reached by The Helpers. The Helpers paid for their water bill, which restored service, and provided food and other basic household items.

She added, "it was always one thing after another on our end, until I came across this wonderful program that helped my family and I. I just wanted to say thank you."
